Children/Youth
As the umbrella organization for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Alaska, we help over 13,000 children receive a new book monthly in the mail until they turn 5, to foster a love of literacy and learning that will last a lifetime. We offer professional training and development on early literacy, family engagement, and kindergarten readiness for service providers, policymakers, and caregivers. We distribute educational resources and training to families and early childhood educators alike and host free family events to help them become a child's first and most influential teacher. Our advocacy work is focused on supporting initiatives that better the health, well-being, and educational outcomes of Alaska's youngest children.
